Rhodesian Air Force No. 8 Squadron was a troop transport and battlefield support unit formed in September 1978 at New Sarum Air Force Base, operating Augusta Bell 205 helicopters and known by the motto “By Night And By Day”. The squadron was dissolved after the cessation of hostilities in Rhodesia and was commanded by Squadron Leader E.O. (Ted) Lunt.
